“How to Read Monthly Affordable Housing Listings” – A Signature Series by BAAHSC
As we entered July, BAAHSC proudly hosted the third session of our popular monthly online workshop series: “How to Read Monthly Affordable Housing Listings.” Created with the goal of helping community members better understand and make use of our regularly updated affordable housing list, this workshop has become one of our signature programs—offering practical, hands-on guidance and timely support.
To serve our community more effectively, our dedicated volunteers host the workshop once or twice a month, thoughtfully scheduled on both weekdays and weekends to accommodate different availability. We also alternate between Mandarin and Cantonese, ensuring that the sessions are accessible to a wide range of audiences across the Bay Area.
Each session is carefully designed to increase transparency, encourage interaction, and remove the mystery surrounding affordable housing applications. Our volunteers take the time to prepare clear, helpful presentation materials so participants can fully grasp the information being shared—whether it’s understanding eligibility requirements, interpreting listing formats, or learning how to apply strategically.
One of the most popular features of the workshop is the live Q&A session, where attendees are encouraged to ask real-time questions about their personal situations or listings they’re interested in. The warm and engaging atmosphere often leads to extended sessions, with enthusiastic participants and volunteers eager to keep the conversation going.

自2024年春季启动以来，幸福湾居的房源列表解读专题讲座已于7月顺利开展至第三期！该讲座自推出以来广受好评，逐渐成为我们平台的王牌项目之一。我们秉持着“手把手教大家看懂、用好房源列表”的初心，帮助湾区居民更高效地筛选、申请适合自己的住房资源，切实提升中签和入住的可能性。
🧑🏫 贴心安排，精准服务社区
幸福湾居的义工团队每月举办一至两次线上讲座，时间安排上充分考虑到工作日与周末的不同需求，尽量为不同作息的居民提供便利。同时，讲座还贴心地以国语与粤语轮流进行，为来自不同语言背景的群友提供无障碍的信息获取体验。
在内容准备方面，我们的义工们花费大量时间撰写清晰实用的讲义，致力于提升信息透明度和参会者的理解度，为大家逐步揭开福利房申请流程的“神秘面纱”。
💬 现场互动热烈，答疑解惑最受欢迎
每一期的讲座不仅包含系统讲解环节，还特别保留了备受欢迎的现场问答环节。每次讲座都有众多来宾踊跃发言，提出实际申请中遇到的难题，我们的义工也总是耐心解答、热情协助。讲座现场气氛热烈、互动频繁，经常因问题过多而“超时”，但这也正是我们最希望看到的画面——大家真的受益了！
